Terms of Service
Last updated August 27, 2026
These Terms govern your use of RaketTax (the “Service”), a tax-preparation tool operated by MuniServe (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What RaketTax is — and isn’t
RaketTax helps self-employed individuals and professionals in the Philippines who have elected the 8% flat income-tax rate to record income, estimate the tax due, and generate worksheets and pre-filled draft BIR forms (such as Forms 1701Q and 1701A).
RaketTax is a preparation and record-keeping tool. It is not an accredited tax agent, accounting firm, or law firm, and it does not file, submit, or transmit anything to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on your behalf. Lodging your returns and paying your taxes on time remain your responsibility.
Nothing in the Service is tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Figures the Service produces are estimates based only on the data you enter and on tax parameters we configure. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You may use the Service only for your own tax affairs or for those of someone you are lawfully authorised to act for, and you must provide accurate registration details.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. Keep access to that email or Google account secure — anyone who can sign in there can reach your RaketTax data. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at info.muniserve@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Your responsibilities
When you use the Service you agree to:
- Enter complete and accurate income, withholding, and personal or registration information.
- Review every figure, worksheet, and draft form before you rely on it or file.
- Confirm your own BIR registration status, that you validly elected the 8% rate, that you remain eligible (for example, that your gross receipts stay within the VAT threshold), and which deadlines apply to you.
- File your returns and pay any tax due directly with the BIR — through eBIRForms, eFPS, an authorised agent bank, or another accepted channel — by the applicable deadlines.
- Keep your own registered Books of Account and official receipts as the law requires. The “Notebook copy mode” is a transcription aid; it does not replace your registered books.
5. Paid features
Some features — unlocking a quarter’s form, the Concierge service, and Annual Passes — require payment. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change over time; the price shown at checkout is the one that applies to that purchase.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Xendit. We do not receive or store your full card number or bank credentials.
Concierge service. If you buy a Concierge item, a bookkeeper working with MuniServe helps prepare your filing and, where you ask them to, assists with lodging it. You must still review and approve their work, provide accurate information, and ensure any tax due is paid. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.
Annual Pass. An Annual Pass gives you access to the covered preparation features for the stated period (365 days). It does not guarantee any particular filing outcome.
6. Refunds
Because preparation outputs are delivered to you immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once the corresponding form or worksheet has been generated or a Concierge job has started. If something went wrong on our side, email info.muniserve@gmail.com within 7 days and we will review it in good faith. This does not affect rights you have under Philippine consumer law that cannot be waived.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to break, probe, or bypass security, or access data that is not yours;
- scrape the Service or use it through automated or bulk processes without our written permission;
- upload malware or harmful code;
- resell or white-label the Service without our written permission; or
- submit information about another person that you have no right to use.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by MuniServe or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. Blank BIR form templates are government works, reproduced for your filing convenience.
You keep ownership of the data you enter and the documents you upload. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that data so we can provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties for hosting, data storage, email, SMS, AI document reading, and payments. Their availability and performance are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that estimates or generated forms are free of error, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it reflects the most current BIR rules at every moment. Tax rules, rates, and forms change; you are responsible for verifying the current requirements that apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MuniServe is not liable for any BIR penalties, surcharges, interest, or compromise amounts; for missed deadlines; for lost profits or data; or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud.
12. Indemnity
You agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses, costs, and expenses we incur arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or the law, or if we stop offering the Service. Before closure you may export or request your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the Philippine courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you where you live.
